The Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel range is made using the latest multi-layering technology where stainless steel and aluminium are bonded together to form the special 3-ply material. A core of aluminium is sandwiched between two layers of premium grade stainless steel cleverly combining the cooking benefits of both materials. The aluminium stretches from base to rim, meaning heat spreads evenly and gently throughout the entire pan – not just the base.
Professional-style cast handles are attached with stainless steel rivets for a superior, secure fixing and the addition of helper handles makes lifting easier.

I received this set as a wedding gift, but if something happened to it I would replace it without hesitation. The saucepans are a good range of sizes and the frying pan is the one I reach for most (as does my husband) from our pan cupboard. The quality is excellent, as you would expect from Le Creuset, and the stainless steel pans are much easier to use than the heavier cast iron ones which most people associate with this brand. They are also a breeze to clean!

A good quality set of pans that let's be honest you would expect when paying this much. Just be careful not to use them on a high heat as it causes browning of the steel (which I found to my detriment when frying). Other than this very pleased.
I would also recommend getting the 20cm 3ply steamer for the large casserole pan. Silicone utensils are a must on all pans.

Very pleased with this purchase, the pans conduct heat well and look good. I'm confident they will stand up to many years use.
I particularly like the attention to detail - the pouring edge is exactly right; the handles are comfortable; and the pans are well balanced which disguises their weight (they are not "heavy" but weigh more than the capsule base and non-stick alternatives).
I have a couple of comments - not quite criticisms but something you should be aware of...
- The short helper handles and the lid handles do get hotter than you might expect so you need to keep a cloth to hand.
- The volume markings inside the pan are only inked on the surface and if you use an abrasive scourer you will scratch them away (as I discovered after a couple of days). So use a non-stick scourer and a bit more elbow grease if you want to keep the insides shiny. It would be better if the markings were etched, because part of the advantage of a stainless steel pan is that you should be able to treat them a bit rougher without damaging them. The same applies to the exterior finish - it is elegantly brushed at the factory but if you scour them you will lose that effect.
- The insides of all my pans have a "rainbow" discolouration already, and I've been careful not to overheat them. It affects the appearance but not the performance.
I haven't made much use of the non-stick frypan but each time it has performed perfectly, even without fat, and so far there are no signs of damage to the coating. It is also nicely shaped with a curved side and a good size for a 3-egg omelette and family cooking.
