The perfect introduction to the 3-ply Stainless Steel range, the 4 Piece Cookware Set contains a 16cm Saucepan, 18cm Saucepan, 20cm Deep Casserole, 24cm Non-Stick Frying Pan.
The Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel range is made using the latest multi-layering technology where stainless steel and aluminium are bonded together to form the special 3-ply material. A core of aluminium is sandwiched between two layers of premium grade stainless steel cleverly combining the cooking benefits of both materials. The aluminium stretches from base to rim, meaning heat spreads evenly and gently throughout the entire pan – not just the base.
Professional-style cast handles are attached with stainless steel rivets for a superior, secure fixing and the addition of helper handles makes lifting easier.
Close fitting lids on the deep casserole and saucepans retain moisture and heat for efficient and nutritious cooking in the casserole and saucepans, other thoughtful touches include capacity markings and an all round pouring rim.
Suitable for use on all hob types including induction, oven and grill safe.
Each Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel product comes with a lifetime guarantee.

I particularly like the attention to detail - the pouring edge is exactly right; the handles are comfortable; and the pans are well balanced which disguises their weight (they are not "heavy" but weigh more than the capsule base and non-stick alternatives).
I have a couple of comments - not quite criticisms but something you should be aware of...
- The short helper handles and the lid handles do get hotter than you might expect so you need to keep a cloth to hand.
- The volume markings inside the pan are only inked on the surface and if you use an abrasive scourer you will scratch them away (as I discovered after a couple of days). So use a non-stick scourer and a bit more elbow grease if you want to keep the insides shiny. It would be better if the markings were etched, because part of the advantage of a stainless steel pan is that you should be able to treat them a bit rougher without damaging them. The same applies to the exterior finish - it is elegantly brushed at the factory but if you scour them you will lose that effect.
- The insides of all my pans have a "rainbow" discolouration already, and I've been careful not to overheat them. It affects the appearance but not the performance.
I haven't made much use of the non-stick frypan but each time it has performed perfectly, even without fat, and so far there are no signs of damage to the coating. It is also nicely shaped with a curved side and a good size for a 3-egg omelette and family cooking.
I would also recommend getting the 20cm 3ply steamer for the large casserole pan. Silicone utensils are a must on all pans.
Asked for exchange which Amazon was happy to do it. Hope it doesn't happen again.
They are expensive but you do tend to keep pans for a long time.
Only disappointment was the frying pan exchanged before use due to tiny bumps on none stick surface, this was done so will see how we go. I have read a number of people have had issues with these when the Teflon peels off.
Work brilliantly with an induction hob which has a very controllable heat level, before this you would have never got me off gas now I wouldn't want to go back.
So far I love cooking with them, they are heavy but you get used to that and what else you can say they hold the hot stuff in place while you cook with them!
The frying pan is not of the same quality in my opinion. We are really careful when cooking with it, only plastic utensils etc. however the non stick coating has a small tear in it which looks like it came from being put in our dishwasher. Really disappointed in this. It means the pan will have to go and a new one is £45!
I would recommend the pans but not the frying pan!

Not cheap, but the quality of these pans is fantastic. After buying a cheap pan set and soon regretting it, we decided to splash out and invest in something a bit more solid. Read morePublished 4 months ago by a reader
