"Three steps, is that all" I said to myself, looks almost too good to be true. I can tell you everything in here verifiably works. I read Joseph's other book and promptly lost ten pounds over a short period. More fat and more sleep leads to weight loss, strange but very true!!

I am looking forward to trying the ideas about not eating breakfast, I never thought about it before and it makes a lot of sense. A well-written and educational read that unfolds into such simple ideas and concepts you wonder why you have not tried them before. A must have good value read for anyone wanting to lose weight.

This book contains a few scary promises in the first few pages which at first glance make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Do not be tempted to put the book down at this point. The author continues to explain his reasoning behind all of his statements and he actually makes a lot of sense in his reasoning.
If you are wanting to lose weight then this book is definitely for you.

"Eat steak, eggs, bacon, avocadoes, very dark chocolate - we can eat as much of this type of food as we want. Likewise we can pour loads of heavy cream into our coffee, make a decadent coconut and frozen fruit smoothie, or cook a meal with a whole stick of butter in it."

Eat lots of fat. Even more fat than that. Keep eating fat (lots).

Sleep more.

Eat less carbs.

This sounds like the kind of diet that would be well-suited to a hibernating animal like a bear or hedgehog, but having tried the Atkins diet and seen my cholesterol going off the scale, there's no way I'm going to be trying it. I might be lazy, but I'm not crazy.

At the very least, get qualified medical advice before following the advice given in this book.

This book gives 3 tips for a healthy life style. I would have to disagree in part. The basic principle of the 3 rules are understandable, but this is just another restrictive diet, where many foods are forbidden. This is not a diet for life. To lose weight and keep it off it has to be sustainable, and I don't believe anyone could live happily on this diet for life. It's certainly not for me! I also feel all people should be encouraged to exercise if only a little. As for the 3rd rule, sleeping a lot, why would anyone want to sleep their life away? I will stick with 5:2 which is a sustainable way of life where you don't feel like you're on a diet as there are no food restrictions.

I had read Joseph's other book, and essentially this is more of the same type of information - a simple and effective way to implement the "low carb" diet into your life. For people who are unfamiliar with this type of diet, it can initially seem daunting. But it shouldn't be. You can still eat pretty much everything - lots of meat, dairy, fruit, vegetables and even chocolate - everything except grains. And the truth is that Joseph's "tips" not only help you lose weight, but make you feel much better in general.

I used to get sick all the time (which is why I initially decided to give up gluten) and I have only had one minor cold since I started low carb over a year and a half ago, and no other health problems whatsoever. I have also lost about 15 pounds over that span, and while my cholesterol has gone slightly up (both my HDL and LDL) I have no reason to believe that is a concern - read a book like 'The Cholesterol Myth' if you don't believe me. All I can say is that if you have doubts about eating this way, take Joseph's advice and try it for a month. If anything, the results are better than advertised.

First off - my review is not having just read the book and thinking it sounds good. I read the book two months ago. I now weigh 17lbs less than I did then. I'm writing with that in mind.

The author is very easy going, but he is extremely specific in what he asks you to do: eat more fat, eat less grains, and sleep more. I have to believe that if you follow the tips even just 75% of the time it be effective for most people. It certainly was for me. If you make the effort you will start losing weight.

It would be easy to dismiss this book as too unusual and easy, but that would be an error. All the tips - which are not hard - are deliberate and essential for a method that works. Read it.

It sounds crazy to serial dieters like myself but this diet works. I've been avoiding fat all my life and that made me fat. With cutting out carbs and replacing ludicrous processed man made "low fat" options like margarine and 0% fat yogurts with organic butter and cream (along with sleeping more and exercising) I have been constantly losing weight for the last few weeks. Intermittent fasting by eating large amounts twice a day instead of constantly grazing has helped too. Obviously there are other health implications regarding eating lots of red meat and fat but you just have to be sensible and mix it up a bit. But most important of all, ditch those carbs. Eating carbohydrates make you hungry.

What a load of absolute tosh!!! This book is probably the quickest way to suffer a heart attack!! I kept waiting for the author to shout "April Fools" - a waste of time and money - don't bother!!
