Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Dr. N. A. Dodd on 15 Sept. 2012
Format: Paperback
Where else in professional life would you have one professional whose job is to talk to the client and another professional whose job crucially depends on what the client has said but who has no contact with the client and quite limited contact with the professional who does? This is the UK legal system. It is the job of the second professional to represent the paying client in a court of law. If you tried to build a more inefficient and costly system from scratch it would be very hard to do. This is but one of the observations made by Michael Joseph (QC) about the legal profession. It is a companion to his book "The Conveyancing Fraud" which similarly exposes the lawyers and legal professional who profit very nicely from this nice little earner yet do a job which is arguably inferior to anybody with half a brain and a typewriter.
