5.0 out of 5 stars All about grasscutting 13 May 2011
Format:Paperback
I picked up this book hoping to find out more about lawnmowers in general, how they worked and which would be the best for maintaining my own lawn. I found all this and heaps more. There's a great deal of technical detail on all types of mowers including their use and maintenance, history of lawnmowers and other grass cutting machinery, interesting and sometimes funny stories about these machines and people, with excellent illustrations and photos. I can't think there would be anything about the subject that wasn't here. All written in a style that's easy to read and understand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revelation Read 18 May 2011
Format:Paperback
Purchased to check I was up to speed in keeping my lawn tractor in good fettle, I found that so much more came from these pages.

They say never judge a book by its cover, or in this case maybe - by its title. An incredibly interesting and informative read, Brian has struck a perfect balance with his easy to understand technical tips and advice balanced with some incredible facts and history of mowers and lawn maintenance. He could obviously make a snail race seem fast and full of action.

Highly recommended, although I don't think I will follow in his footsteps and forays into lawnmower racing - far too dangerous by all accounts!
