By Detra Fitch TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover
Christabel (Crissy) Gaines and Judd have been friends for a long time. Though fourteen years separate their ages, she has been in love with him for years. In fact, you would think she would be thrilled, she has been his wife for five years, since she was sixteen and he rescued her from her abusive father.

The drawback is that the union is only in name, Judd has never touched her, just been her friend, protector, and business partner. She is almost of age to be able to stand on her own, and then Judd will annul the marriage. To Crissy, it looks like he is more than ready for them both to move on, but Judd's life as a Texas Ranger has made a few enemies for him, and now one of them is planning to use Crissy to get to him. Will danger awaken the passion she has longed for for so long?

***** Once again, Diana Palmer follows the lines that she has used to win fans and create a successful career. The days of the wild west seem closer, and she utilizes the marriage of convenience plotline that has worked well with Regencies. As always, a young, innocent but spunky heroine loves a man it would be impossible not to love. Judd, like all her Texas men, will win your heart, just as he wins Crissy's.

Brilliant book 27 Jun 2005
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Diana Palmer excelled herself in this gripping story. It tells of the unrequited love of a young girl called Christabel Gaines and the unwilling groom Judd. Throughout you will meet intriging characters such as Cash Grier and Tippy Moore, who make you yearn to learn their personal story and those characters you love to hate which in this case is Jack Clark and the film's asssistant director Gary.
All in all, this book had become one of my favourite Diana Palmer novels and I would reccommend it to any romance fiction lover.

Great read 24 Mar 2008
Format:Paperback
An avid DP fan I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Had a mix of all the best of DP's writing flair. Has been in my collection since published in '94 and has been re-read a number of times - a firm favourite in my opinion with characters that pop off the page at you.
For those trying to build up a DP library & avoid duplicates hero is Judd Dunn heroine is Christabel (Crissy) Gaines & is set in Jacobsville. Happy reading.
