Product Description

Mating heat gives him the heebie jeebies. It makes his stomach clench. It makes his teeth grind but that s not because he wants to avoid it. It's the woman he's sensed is his mate, the woman that makes him insane every time they cross paths. The one woman he knows he can never, ever tame. The mercenary sister of Jonas mate, Diane Broen. And he doesn t mean mercenary in the monetary sense - he couldn t ever be that lucky. Diane is the commander of a small group of rough and ready male soldiers, a woman living on the edge and threatening to pull him over with her.

About the Author

Lora Leigh is a number one bestselling author of numerous works of erotica and paranormal romance. She is best known for her paranormal Breeds novels (Berkley), as well as her decadent Nauti series (Jove).

By ROROBLU'S MUM TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Kindle Edition
I really thought, and hoped, that this might be the book to get the Breeds back on track, but it wasn't. In fact, I think it sounded the death knell for me and LL books as autobuys.

I am TIRED of these Breed books having soooo much of the 'I am not your mate' thing - it's been covered in too many of these books, too many times, to now, for me, ad nauseum. Also, it's never a good sign, when a shadowy, secondary character elicits more interest from me than the male lead. Gideon appeared so many times, doing so many undercover things that he was the more mysterious, Alpha character. All Lawe seemed to do was growl that Diane was his mate, yet do nothing about it, making it sound like he was all mouth and no trousers. It kind of seemed at certain points that he did not want her, and yet, did not want his brother Rule to go after her. And I also got fed up with Rule tweaking Lawe's tail.

As for Diane, when did she become such a prominent, kick-a** Breeds enforcer/warrior type? Yes, I know she's (the very wet) Rachel's sister, and in anticipation of this book, there have been hints about her, but that she's suddenly so important and invincible and such a major player...didn't quite ring true.

I think that the Breeds have become tired and too same-same now that we are some 15+ books into the series, and frankly, I am now fed up forking out for them. I may continue to read LL Breeds tales if I can get them from my library, but I can't see myself buying them any more. They are not worth it.

Disappointing again 20 Dec 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I was majorly disappointed with this book. Really disappointed. I had ordered this in April and had to wait until December. The wait was not worth it.
This books and the previous title - Jonas story- were both poor. This one is the worst yet! There is no story line. I was completely confused by the plot and there was no action! And i do not mean bedroom scenes. As i read the book, i kept thinking if i had missed a book or something. All the content of the story was the thoughts and feelings of Diane - 'how she would be destroyed if Lawe did not give her any space' blah blah blah. The bedroom scenes were thrown in randomly and were not needed. There was no structure in the plot. I know my thoughts are not clear but i cannot put down how bad this book was. If i could, i would return for my money back.
I have never written a review on Amazon before but this morning, i knew i had to write this. I am so disappointed now with Lora Leigh. Her earlier works are far far better. I am sorry but unless she starts writing better quality work, i will not be buying any more of her books.

lost the plot 27 Feb 2012
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I wont tell you the story line as other reviews have done this, I will say that I have read all the books in the breed series so far and I think I will now give up. I loved all the books until this one, I found it so boring that im skipping parts, I put it down read another book and go back to it, I was determined to finish it and im near the end but just don't think I can, It had none of the magic that the rest had, I wanted to punch Dianne an throw Lawe down a mountain, it was boring, no suspense, no genuine romance, so no I would not recommend this book.
