I was actually a little disappointed with the Law Express: Intellectual Property Law book. I have previously read the Concentrate! series and would recommend that over Law Express following my limited experience of Law Express.
I found the layout of this book not the easiest format to follow and rather lacking in content. I had intended to read it as a a brief basis for my self-taught coursework on IP but have to say that it failed to provide even that. I ended up reading A Guidebook to Intellectual Property which is co-authored by Jacob LJ (a notable Appellate judge who has presided over many notable IP appeal cases), as well as Daniel Alexander QC (who I am less familiar with but as a QC is clearly well informed also).
I would recommend the Concentrate! series over Law Express (based on my limited experience of both, especially Law Express), and would recommend A Guidebook to Intellectual Property specifically for the area of IP law.
