About the Author
Ann Cliff's family has farmed in the North Yorkshire Dales for the past hundred years. After studying at agricultural college, she worked as a farm adviser and wrote books and articles about small-scale sustainable farming. Robert Hale also published her novels, Moorland Lass, Bitter Inheritance and Yorkshire Rose.
