Product Description

Lava Stones are simply the highest grade pumice stones for placing in the bottom of clay chimineas and fire bowls to prevent burning of the clay which can cause thermal shock and therefore cracking of the clay. One bag of Lava Stones is enough for one chiminea and they are reusable. Place the contents of one bag directly on the clay at the bottom of the chiminea and build the fire on top.

after buying my Chimera, was advise to buy the larve stones to go with it . In order to cure my Clay Chimera. Glad I did , they have been great at spreading the heat so no cracks.

If you are investing in a clay Chimera instead of a Iron one ..... Get these and follow the curing process, worht the investment...

P.S ... Buy a Clay Chimera.. they last longer and look better when weathered than the Cast Iron ones
