As soon as I ordered Lauren Luke's book I couldn't wait for it to come to my door, and it definitely did not disappoint, the inside is full of beautiful designs and pictures with simple and easy to follow make up tips. I very rarely wear make up, the most I ever wear is a bit of eyeliner and mascara (and that's only on special occasions!) But this book has encouraged me to try new and different things. I love the fact that Lauren talks you through every celebrity inspired makeup tutorial and shows the finished effect on her, you feel like you can achieve the look too and you don't have to be a "conventional" beauty to carry it off. I am looking forward to trying out the tutorial especially designed for pale skin. I really enjoyed Lauren's mini biography and I'm so glad that despite her troubles she finally achieved her American dream. I really hope Lauren continues to have success and hopefully she can change the beauty industry for the better.

A really useful book for those with little or no knowledge of how to apply colour and highlights to eyes & cheeks to create different effects.
The step by step format is easy to follow and the tool list at the top of each page is really useful to work out if you have the necessary items to complete the look or what you'll need to go and buy!
The clear description of brushes is also a really nice touch.
The only things I think it's missing.....a guide to applying foundation and perhaps more guidance in shaping eyebrows?
I'd definitely recommend this book for those just starting out in make up or for those who just want to check if they're doing it right or are bored with wearing the same old look!

As i have followed Lauren for a while on you tube i thought id order her book which as soon as i ordered it i was constantly looking out the window for the postman!!
When it arrived i tore open the packaging and started looking and reading through it, It is brillant it is colourfull,very easy to follow.lots of gorgous pics of Lauren herself,The tips and make up looks are great Laurens great personality flows through this book as it does in her videos.
I love her story about herself as i to suffer from depression and her videos pick me up when i am down so i thank her whole heartedly for her bubbly and friendly personality,
I am ceertainally looking forward to anything Lauren does next as it is bound to be great.
In one sentence!! A fantastic book with great pics and brillant tips and looks by the best(as far as i am concerned)down to earth real woman and a great makeup artist,

Not enough of Lauren's style here!
I love Lauren's You Tube videos and TV spots, but for me personally the book doesn't capture her knowledge and enthusiasm. Read more
