This DVD (SUN 9011) contains three short - in fact: too short - films, one with Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy and two with Oliver Hardy alone (one of them directed by Stan Laurel).
A look at the facts:
1. "The Lucky Dog" (1921): The first (accidental) cooperation of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy; Hardy robs Laurel at gunpoint - a moment of movie history.
Running time: 16:49 minutes, but should be 24 (in PAL about 23) minutes!
2. "Hop to It!" (1925): Solo appearance of Oliver Hardy.
Running time: 19:23 minutes, but should be 23 (in PAL about 22) minutes!
3. "Enough to Do" (originally "Wandering Papas", 1926): Solo appearance of Oliver Hardy in a film directed by Stan Laurel.
Running time: 8:49 (!) minutes, but should be 20 minutes!
All three films are, of course, black & white and 4:3, and all three films are also SIGNIFICANTLY cut! The image quality is about average for this kind of films (not restored); I've seen far worse (the early Chaplins, for example). There are no extras, absolutely nothing else than these three films.
So if you are a Laurel & Hardy collector (as I am), this DVD may be worth buying (considering the rarity of the films), but if you're not: Don't waste your money on it!
