Another fine mess and another three masterpieces,
By A Customer
This review is from: Laurel & Hardy - Hog Wild [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Three of Laurel and Hardy's classic shorts from the from the Hal Roach days. Hog Wild(1930), Perfect Day(1929) and Thicker Than Water(1935).I must say its one of the best hours I've spent with The Boys yet with some great moments including Stan and Ollie having to have blood transfusions and they wind up walking out of the hospital with mixed looks and personalaties. A few things to point out though. In 'Perfect Day' as the family rush back into the house when the vicar approaches, Edgar Kennedy mutters "S***!" That can't have been in the script! Also 'Thicker Than Water' was the duo's last ever short, before they moved onto making only feature films. So it marked a real turning point in their movie career. All I can say is if you're a collector or just want to get to know L&H, buy this video!!!

Blood's Thicker Than Water,

This review is from: Laurel & Hardy - Hog Wild [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I Didn’t know there were Laurel and Hardy videos until Dad bought this one.Its 3 comic capers (Hog Wild, Perfect Day and Thicker Than Water) provide 1 hour of Laughs and Gags. The highlight for me was “Thicker Than Water”. It sees Stan lodging with the Hardys. When Mrs Hardy discovers that Stan has paid her for his room and board with the money for the furniture payment, he suggests Alternative, Financial Arrangements! The film ends with a blood transfusion which goes badly wrong. You’ll have to watch it to find out the rest! I hope you enjoy it and Hog Wild and Perfect Day.

Laurel & Hardy as two pairs of identical twins,
By A Customer
This review is from: Our Relations [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Sailors Laurel & Hardy are entrusted with a valuable pearl ring. Gangsters want the ring, but the sailors are constantly mistaken for their twin brothers, who are henpecked husbands. Although the mistaken-identity gimmick becomes rather predictable, the comedians offer good performances, aided by Hollywood character actors Alan Hale, Sidney Toler, Iris Adrian, Arthur Housman, and Noel Madison, among others.
