Like the first two volumes in this series the disc contains films Laurel or hardy appeared in before they became a team, so do not expect to see any classic Laurel and Hardy films.
Having said that the films are really quite good and (unlike the first two volumes in this series) have really good picture quailty considering there age.
Fluttering Hearts and Crazy Like a Fox both feature Oliver Hardy and star the unjustly forgotten Charlie Chase. They are really quite entertaining, it is really a pity he never progressed beyond the short 20 minute comedy.
Should Sailors Marry is an Andy Clyde comedy in which Oliver Hardy makes a 1 minute appearance right at the end, still quite good though.
Short Kilts and The Soilers both starred Stan Laurel and are a good example of the knock about comedy Laurel practiced before he found his Laurel character.
All films seem complete (apart from the Soilers - which is the one reel version rather then the two reel version seen on Movie Select video (Holland) a few years ago) and have reasonable music.
I would really like to recommend this disc if you are interested in silent comedy. If you have never seen a Charlie Chase film you are in for a treat.
