Both the Rosetta Life charity and the Trimar Hospice will benefit from the sales of this CD single
The three songs on this CD are the product of a series of song-writing workshops that I conducted at the Trimar Hospice in Weymouth during February 2005. I was invited to take part in the project by Rosetta Life, a charity dedicated to helping those facing terminal illness to share their experiences through the medium of art, poetry, film or song. Every Friday morning for six weeks, I worked with half a dozen women who came to the hospice for palliative care as they fought against the effects of breast cancer.

The words, the music and the story behind it are all extremely beautiful and moving. This is what music should be about - moving you to tears, but leaving you feeling better afterwards. I have never listened to this song without crying - in a good way! I know I'm not alone because I've been fortunate enough to see it performed live and it had that affect - and more so - on the people around me too. Buy this song for everyone you love - all the money will go to help hospice patients and their families.

Heartwarming and memorable,

The poignant lyrics of this song, (written by a mother dying of cancer for her teenage daughter and put to music by Billy Bragg) are beautifully and soulfully voiced by Helena(the singer of the group rosetta life). The words say it all and we should all be grateful to Maxine for allowing us to share them. Her daughter must be very proud of her bravery and fortitude at this time.

A song to make you laugh and cry at the same time. Fantasticly sung by Helena - fantastic musicianship and not a hint of self pity - deserves to go to No1 all over the world.
