In the summer of 2009, I flew to Riga and did a one week round trip photographic driving tour of Latvia and Lithuania. I had a hire car and no satelite navigation. It did not take me long to realise that apart from signs to Riga, Latvia's road signs are at best not good and at worst often non existent, so thank goodness I bought this map. It was an absolute saviour. Driving alone I still found myself slightly lost several times, but a quick pull over to the side of the road and a check on this great map always got me on my way again.
Latvia's roads are not good, but it is a great country to visit, so much to see and do. And everyone is so friendly (except when they are driving). Lithuania is even better (as are its roads).
