Product Description

Review

LASTNIGHT inhabits Dennis Wheatley territory - but with a supercharged plot so hard-boiled that it could crack concrete. (Daily Mail)

A disturbing, blood-chilling read from a writer at the top of his game (Sunday Express)

A wicked read (Anthony Horowitz)

A creeping sense of evil (Daily Mail)

In brisk newman's style he explores complex contemporary issues while keeping the action fast and bloody. (Economist)

Book Description

The fifth Jack Nightingale supernatural thriller from bestselling author Stephen Leather sees the legendary P.I. take on another nail-biting supernatural adventure.

Wow. I thought the fourth was good, and I did hope for a fifth, and I got it.
Jack is so good and he makes you believe in what he is up against, even if you do not want to believe in the supernatural.
Well worth missing a few hours sleep for.

This series of books are quite different from the normal investigation books I've read in the past. Worth a look if you're bored with the norm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jack never fails to deliver. 9 April 2014

Stephen Leather's character Jack Nightingale is his best yet. The stories take you to the edge of believing in the occult, which some actually do day in day out. Each one of the series has the unlikely & likeable hero in the closest of scrapes with the living & the dead. Best read at night somewhere quiet....

A fantastic 5th book in the Jack Nightingale series. Excitement from the beginning, full of intrigue and mystery, follows on nicely from the previous books, the reader is with Jack all the way knowing what he knows, many twists and turns and an unexpected outcome. A must to have for your Jack Nightingale Collection. I could not put it down, a serious page turner.

I've really enjoyed the JN series and this is no exception. The way it ties back with book one was a good twist. I do hope this isn't the end for Jack!
