Ms. Spencer's debut is a story of a young woman whose horrible experience as a teen has created an outwardly poised and sophisticated professional who runs her own company. Being swept back into Con's life, Liz is relieved he doesn't recognize her. Keeping her identity and the past a secret has it's toll on her, and nearly destroys the wonderful future they can share. This lovestory if filled with angst and bitter accusations. I love how we get more than mere glimpses into Con's POV and are allowed to see that he's just as vulnerable as Liz is. A lovely first book!

From the back cover....
Liz wanted their love to last forever
After the disastrous consequences of her first love, Liz Newman had come to Vancouver and achieved success--a thriving business and a glamorous image. But she had never forgotten Con Henderson, or the passionate night they had spent together.
Liz had eradicated all traces of the awkward adolescent she had been. No wonder Con could reappear in her life and not recognize her!
Liz longed for the shared life Con offered. And it was her fear of losing him that kept her from revealing who she was and the consequences of their first night together.
