This is the last book that Paul Monette wrote. The book finished a year before he died of complication of AIDS. It's a really interesting book, though it is not an easy-reading one. If you really like Paul Monette, and really wanna learn more about him as a person, you must read this book. It's a book of short essays that cover a lot of topics, ranging from the dog he kept, to Garbo. The title of one essay is "3275", this essay is about graves, and 3275 is the number of the plot where Paul and his boyfriend Roger is buried. I found the essay particular moving, though Paul never intend to squeeze the last drop of tears from the readers. This book help me to understand what life and death, and most of all love means.
