I won't comment on the program content because the last night at the Proms is always good.

What is not good is the picture quality of the 2008 - in fact it is disgracefully bad and is so unsharp that it looks as if it has been filmed using somebody's cheap digital camera. The picture aspect ratio is 4:3 and not the usual 16:9. I use a Blu-ray DVD player and a high definition projector. Any drop in picture quality is immediately obvious, but this excuse for a DVD doesn't even look good when displayed on a standard TV....

On the other hand, the 2010 Last Night at the Proms which I ordered at the same time, is fine - 16:9 and reasonable picture quality for a non blu-ray DVD.
