This movie is a remake of the cynical 1950 Alec Guinness comedy. And I found it a fun remake of the movie with a real message. The main character, Georgia played by Queen Latifah, starts off as a meek, stay at home woman who has dreams but is too afraid to act on them. When she learns she only has three weeks to live, she decides to follow her dreams and live her life.

It is true that many people do not try something new or to try and obtain their dream for fear of failure. This movie should let people know that life is too short. The best way to enjoy a full life is to be yourself and to try and do the best you can. It should not take facing death to open your eyes.

This movie was watched on one of those dark and miserable late winter days when its too cold and wet to go outside and so I went to the cinema. With nothing on that I had heard of I was about to walk away, but then I saw Queen Latifah's name on the cast list and thought, what the heck? I was absolutely beaming from ear to ear throughout the whole movie, it was funny, sweethearted, poignant and really made you think about what you would do in her situation. Sure this may not be an Oscar winning movie but it is one of those watch over and over again movies that will always give you the same just sunk into a warm bath feeling. It was so good after I saw it I almost went straight back round to the ticket booth to see it again. It is an absolute girly must see!
