Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The darkness has descended upon Louisiana, where the treasures from the gypsy's lair are still hidden, when a mysterious book is found in the tiny town of Shadowcrest. Perhaps a book that should never have been opened. A book with pages that chart the passage to the Isle of the Dead...

Shrouded among fog and lore, legends of the Island speak of the strange ghosts that live there and the creatures of the dead hiding in the shadows; feeding on sailors foolish enough to beach upon the dark shores. Although stories of great treasure surround the island, it is also rumored that the isle holds the origin for a great darkness inside an ancient temple built centuries ago. Use your experience in the dark arts and science to uncover the true origin of the last half of darkness.

Fabulous game! 16 Jan 2011

Fun:
This really is a stunning game! If you like typical point and click adventure games( which I do) but with some great jump out of your seat moments, this is it! Play these games with the lights off and headphones on for a truly scary ride!! There are actually 3 games in this Last Half Of Darkness series,(Shadows Of The Servants and Beyond The Spirits Eye), and this is the 3rd instalment. They are not linked so it doesn't matter if you play them in any order, although it's nice to play them as they were released to familiarize yourself with the graphics and stories. I really couldn't say which one I preferred as they are all so well done! The puzzles are not too difficult, some easy and some that need a little more time and thought, but none that would require a walkthrough. If you do go to the makers walkthrough mind, you will find just the right hints to get you through. Also, the developer is very helpful should you have any problems installing. I had some issues with the first game on my windows 32 bit Vista and Bill got back to me within a day telling me how to get round it. Superb customer service to say the least!
In all, a wonderful set of games, an absolute must for any true adventure gamer who wants something a little more creepy, or downright scary, where every click could make you throw yourself out of your chair!

Fun:
I can highly recommend this game to all point and click adventure game enthusiasts. Its all there, the mystery, the spooky mansion, the creepy caves and crypts, and enigmatic characters. There is lots of exploring to be done, and plenty of intriguing and complex puzzles which won't insult your intelligence. The graphics are bit on the simplistic side but don't detract from the dark atmosphere of the game.

After having played a few duds recently, I was really pleased that I took the chance and ordered this game, as there weren't any reviews done on it yet. Very enjoyable.

Fun:
I strongly recommend this game - but there is a downside.

I was looking around for a point and click adventure to play and Tomb of Zojir had got really favourable reviews on the "Just Adventure" website so I bought it. The puzzles are the key to any adventure story and those in Tomb of Zojir are excellent - challenging but solvable. There are just a couple towards the end which are a bit obscure and I cracked them by accident/sheer persistence rather than by knowing what I was doing. The atmosphere and music are good. The storyline is interesting. It's not a long game but at £[[] it is value for money.

The downside to the game was before I actually started it. The manual troubleshooting guide highlights a possible problem with "codecs" conflicts which prevent the movies from playing. If you have them you have to remove the conflicts by uninstalling codecs from your PC. The manual and the website sort of help you with this but I only had the confidence to overcame the problem because my son is computer literate and helped me with it. A shame that a known problem can't be resolved at source

Given that sellers often don't take back opened PC games I think it is important people know about the problem up-front and nothing I read before buying warned me of the problem
