This little known (outside of mountaineering circles) classic should be read by all who have an interest in mountains, adventure, and the human spirit. It starts out as what appears to be a standard expedition book but ends up as the most heart breaking mountaineering book ever written. Buy it and find out why.

Great Adventure. A must read for mountaineering enthusiasts. 7 Oct 2009
By M. Little - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I can't recall how I came across this book the first time. It was long out of print and hard to find. I ordered my copy from New Zealand. I highly recommend it as one of the better mountaineering tales out there. There's friendship, joy, struggle, tragedy, error, and much more. The book is back in print I see. Get a copy. You'll enjoy it.
