Book Description

25 Mar 2012
(Better Date than Never series, Book #3) It’s Valentine’s Day and Rachel Price has a choice: Stay home and watch TV with her loveable doggy or let her best friend, Ellen, set her up on a blind date. What to do. . . . Ellen says the guy is a “10,” but the last guy she set her up with was a “–5.” Rachel’s been flirting with coworker Noah Peterson and she’s hoping he’s noticed. Then, she finds out Noah has big plans. Even worse, he advises Rachel to go on the blind date! Should she play it safe and spend the Hallmark holiday with her loyal pooch, Chester, or risk another dating disaster by trying yet again for love?

OK, so Valentine's day was a couple of weeks ago, but this was a lovely little short tale of 30yo Rachel who's facing spending the evening with her miniature beagle, rather than be set up on yet another blind date, by her well-meaning, but in the very slightest smug-married BFF.

But, she allows herself to be talked into it and finds herself dining with the office hunk, who it turns out has been interested in her, but put off by the number of dates she's had with different guys in the two months that he's known her.

Short, sweet, and perfect for VD, and wouldn't you know it, their furry friends get on too!

2.0 out of 5 stars Mercifully short 6 Mar 2012

This was free and short-I would have been cross at the length of it had I paid. It was ok, though nothing you couldn't see coming an utter mile off from paragraph one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet 4 Mar 2012
By Kew

I enjoyed reading this short story which is a sweet romance. As it is the first book that I have read by this author it has proved to be a useful taster. I liked her style of writing so now look forward to reading one of her full length novels.

Edit: On re-reading this book, after having enjoyed Love At First Date, I've upped my rating from three stars to four.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice little coffee break read 23 Dec 2012

A nice, cute little story that you can read in 20 minutes or so. A feel good story about Rachel, who is deliberating whether or not to go on yet another blind date that has been organised by her best friend Ellen, both of whom we first met in Love at First Date. It was nice to meet them both again and hear what had happened to Ellen following the end of LaFD, and for things to finally fall into place for Rachel. It is a little predictable, but a pleasant little read nonetheless.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great quick read 27 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Short romance story following Rachel, whilst she decides if she should go on yet another blind date on Valentine's Day set up by her best mate. The last three turned into complete disasters, but fourth time may be the charm.

A sweet, entertaining, enjoyable romantic escape.

A good read if you have an hour or so to spare. Short and very predictable but nothing really to criticise about it.
