You can tell this is one of RNP first novels. Reading this book after you have read any of his later novels, shows an element rawness about it. You can still tell his distinct style but at an earlier form. Notheless still a highy entertaining novel with excellent twists and turns.Definatly one to start with.

Simply, one of the best books I've ever read - the first part of an excellent trilogy.
If you like John Grisham, you should read Richard Noth Patterson - in my opion his writing is far more intellent, the characters are better and the plots are far more exciting.

A friend recommended Richard North Patterson and I will be reading more of him. Very good book, really enjoyable, good pace. Degree of Guilt follows this one, get them both!
