I bought this printer to replace an old Canon bubble jet - I was fed up of cleaning the heads etc. Amazon delivery excellent - ordered Friday & delivered Sunday - yes Sunday - I didn't know thay did that.
Printer very easy to set up using ethernet connection to my wireless hub. If you've already got a wireless set up in the house there's no need to buy a wireless printer - just connect direct to the hub using ethernet cable and laptops on a wireless connection to the hub will print fine. Supplied software was very easy to use - just follow the sequence and job done. I then had to load the same software on my wireless laptop & it worked out of the box too - very impressed with how hassle free this all was.
Print quality is superb on ordinary paper (Tesco multipurpose) but I'm going to buy some proper laser paper as I think the Tesco stuff is too light guage. I'm using Word and this allows envelopes to be printed - just use the manual feed slot on the printer - a little fiddling with the fomnt size needed but it all works.
I would also like to try photo printing but you need special paper - inkjet won't do - but HP only sell this in 100 sheet packs. I'd like to try a sample first if anyone knows where to get some - I've searched.
Overall very pleased with the printer and it's good value. The price has even dropped a bit since I purchased but there we are.

Hard to fault a printer with such a great spec at this price point. £140 odd quid, but with a £45 cash back from HP puts it under £100 (offer expired end of April, I'm afraid). Astonishing for a colour laser with this feature set. AirPrint works great from our iPhones and iPad and the printer integrates seamslessly with the Mac and PC laptops in the household. Not the fastest printer in the world, but absolutely fine for the domestic use that its been bought for. It also supports duplex printing but be aware that its manual, not automatic.

Set up was very simple. Removed all the packaging and toner strips, plugged it into my router, loaded the software on my computer, the computer found it instantly and away we went. Best to download the software from HP's site as the version on the supplied CD was not up to date.

Have tried to set it up with Google Cloud Print (http://www.google.com/cloudprint) but can't get it working. According to the support forums, it seems to be a fault of the Google service (still in Beta) rather than the HP printer, and I'm sure it will be sorted in due course.

I've also set up HP's ePrint service and that works great (you have to set up ePrint to get the Apple AirPrint stuff working). I can send something from work to the dedicated ePrint email address that I've been allocated, and it will be sitting there on the printer when I get home from work. How cool is that? Setting up the ePrint service required a firmware upgrade to the printer, but this was all handled automatically by the install process.

I've checked out toner costs and they are about £50 each. Printing around 2,000 pages from a black one (2.5p per page) and 1,300 from a colour one (3.85p per page), running costs seem pretty reasonable to me...

Overall, can't really fault this printer. Very happy with it so far, and would definitely recommend it.

this printer HP LaserJet CP1525nw (same printing ability as the "n" version, but the "nw" version is also wireless connectivity) works a treat in Lion on my Mac Mini (2011)... bought this as to replace my Mono A3 HP laser that Mac OSX 10.6 and 10.7 refuse to see or play with...

found the supplied CD took ages to mount so don't bother with that if you have a Mac...you also get 2 power supply cables (both a three pin and two pin versions) and a USB cable... the toner carts (half full versions) are inside the laser printer...

if you have the CP1525nw version, just one tip make sure you download the latest firmware update (from HP website) for it, and install it or it will drop connection if used wirelessly to your router when the printer goes to sleep (you will then have to turn it off and on again, and also reselect it in the system prefs), this problem doesn't effect the CP1525n as it isn't wireless... the latest firmware also sorts out ePrint compatibility...

the latest HP printer Drivers have been added (Dec 2011) to the Apple Software update (which can get confused if you installed them from HP website) and it will want you to download them every time you run software update (if you install the drivers from software update you should be ok)

the printer prints in colour very well, I would go as far to say near to a photo printer, I was shocked at the quality it was so good... I'd hate to say it, but it blows my friends Lexmark colour laser out the water... glad I bought this instead of the Samsung brand I was looking at... one thing to note, its heavy, it dosnt look it, but it is... very well built by HP... would like to have some more printer options available to Mac OSX like setting image quality to a lower setting, but I presume thats to do with the software Im using... carts seem to be lasting longer than I first thought (half filled ones supplied in box) I'm on about 80-90% still after printing 123 black and 85 colour...

have ordered some more ram to put in it, not that i needed to, havnt had any memory problems on the printer... (I always max out my devices ram, (btw: its a £9 simm not the £300 one from elsewhere...) which was installed today and works a treat, printer has now been maxed out on ram for £9... :)

don't waste money on gloss laser printer paper or card, you'll get better results from high white paper or card (get mine from staples)...

why only 4 stars? there is always room for improvement, but stunning printer you cannot go far wrong... would have given it another half star but alas there not available... ;)

Tip: to possibly save toner you can change the Print Density using your web browser to get into the printers settings to save some toner set it to -5 (default is zero) on all Print Density settings, obviously you will loose a bit of quality, but you will / should also save some toner...

got any questions feel free to ask...

btw: my review refers to wireless connection because I have the CP1525nw version which also has a wireless connection on top of the CP1525n USB and ethernet cable connections...
