Laplink really does the business for transferring files- I use it both for moving files from one computer to another and to back up files on one computer.
Extra features include remote control of another machine - useful for fixing a friend's computer over the net although I couldn't vouch for the ease this is set up.
The further development of the Exchange Agent section has brought rewards but oh how I wish simple file management features were there so that you could delete a file that had accidentally got in one location by mistake. Also needs to be clearer when asking which files to copy when both destination and source have been changed- currently in a long list it doesn't give the start of pathnames when it requests assistance.
Would you need both leads? This pushes the price up and the product is available without leads and /or a special usb link.
All in all, reliable and secure but needs a few additional tweaks to make it even better and easier to use.

Received "OEM" version of Laplink which was in fact a pirated copy. BCS denies this, Laplink confirms it. no reply to refund request. lost £24.00!
