great, but not so great..

Got this for my 1000watt kenwood amp. installation was easy and it works great. i like how when my subs hit hard the blue led's flash. but after a few months of use one of the terminals broke off, causing failure of the product. i tried fixing it myself but failed many times. came up with a solution of using bolts as terminals but the only way to do this to remove the computer chip LED board. the terminals are cheap and break easily, the capacitor still hits as hard now although there are no lights on it anymore. overall its worth the risk, still a good working cap. just buy this at your own risk.

False Advertising/Specification

This capacitor is clearly labeled as 1.6 farads, but this is absolutely incorrect. Immediately after receiving the unit in the mail I made several time-constant measurements to determine the capacitance. The measurements consistently indicate that this unit has only a tenth of the capacitance advertised. It is more like 0.16 farads!
I emailed both the support and sales addresses for Lanzar about this, and I received no reply. (It has been more than a week since I emailed them. If I ever receive a response I will write a follow-up to this review.)
Also, in case anybody else is interested in removing the LED circuitry from the capacitor, it is easy to do. Everything is mounted on one PC board, which lifts right off when the terminals are unscrewed.
