The Lansinoh manual breast pump is a discreet, portable and convenient pump with no need for batteries or an electrical source, making it ideal for occasional expressing or short periods away. 100% BPA free and dishwasher safe. The Lansinoh manual breast pump comes with a spare valve and free breastmilk storage bags, as well as two 150ml storage bottles, bottle rings and specially designed sealing disks to prevent leaking. Breastmilk storage bottles and bags can also be bought separately.

I bought this pump after suffering with an electric breast pump for several weeks. I cannot find any disadvantages to the lansinoh manual pump. It is easy to clean, store and sterilise. It does the job quietly and effectively. It is portable, easy to assemble and use and is much more comfortable and controllable than the first pump I bought. I've recommended it to friends who are still breast feeding and wouldn't bother using my electric version again.

I managed to find the Lansinoh breast pump for £3.50 in my local charity shop, brand new in box, so I thought I might as well buy it in anticipation of the forthcoming birth of my second child and in case I wanted to breastfeed.
The pack contains the pump itself plus spare parts and an extra bottle for milk storage, plus some milk storage bags and instructions. It is very very easy to assemble.
With my first child I had paid over £25 for an Avent manual breast pump and I didn't like it - I found pumping painful and got very little milk. However, I have to say that the Lansinoh breast pump seems to be a lot more effective than the Avent one and the Lansinoh one has a significantly different "cushion" (the part that your breast goes into) to the Avent one, which seems to make pumping less painful and more effective. With the Lansinoh pump I don't get wrist strain (which I got very quickly with the Avent one) and I am able to get about 100mls in approx 20 minutes as the suction is so effective.
I would definitely recommend this pump to anyone looking for an effective, reliable brand breast pump.

A simple design, easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. Straight forward to use. Not painful or uncomfortable to use and comes with two bottles and freezer bags which is very useful. I would definitely recommend this.
