I can't say how much the child enjoyed these as he hasn't received them yet - his 4th birthday is in December. They are very attractive, and beautifully finished. I think he will love them, as he is into anything with wheels! - even if they don't turn.
However, one thing that bothers me is that they may not be heavy enough to hold children's books, which tend to be quite large. He could use them for DVDs.

I bought this as a gift for my friend's newborn son. This will make a great present to help decorate his nursery with something other than Winnie the Pooh or other new born teddy designs.
When it arrived I was pleased to see how beautifully finished it is. The paint finish looks glossy, durable and professionally done (not dodgily hand painted as I thought). The bookends also came packaged in a good quality clear plastic box (it's not flimsy or tacky packaging).
The added plus is it's a fair trade product, so I feel great for choosing it too!

Very sturdy and does a good job keeping books stacked up. Fits in well with the decor. The quality is excellent and I will be on the lookout for something similar in the future.
