As a medical student, I found this book indispensable when it came to studying embryology. Perfect in many aspects - it is concise, accurate, reliable, and the text is coupled with truly beautiful diagrams, pictures, photographs, and other visual aids. I cannot fault this book in any way or form. It is truly the holy grail for any medical student studying embryology, or indeed for any student of this scientific field.
It's strongest points are as follows:
- The wording is very nice; clear sentences, easy to follow, easy to comprehend
- Concise. You won't get burdened with an overload of information, safe to say.
- Logical progression through each chapter.
- Very nicely broken up into sections.
- The later chapters are dedicated to systems-based embryology, whereas the first sections of the book give you an overview of general embryological development and processes and builds up the basis/foundation required for understanding this complex biological science.
