Format: Paperback
This is a great embryology book. It is well written, detailed and easy to understand. Each chapter has clinical correlates and problems to solve, to reinforce what was learnt. The diagrams are great. The best feature of this book is the animated CD-ROM - SIMBRYO with animation of the embryological development of each system as well as the early weeks - gastrulation etc. At the back of the book are the answers to the problems at the end of each chapter with full explanations. This book makes studying embryology fun.

As a medical student, this book has solved the mystery to embryology & made the subject understandable & actually enjoyable.
Concise, well written, clear pictures and easy to read. (What more do you want?)
Q&A at the end of each chapter really helps re-emphasising the main points.
One of the best embryology book around!

The book is great, good detail for a medical student, nice small book, easy to carry around and extract information from. I'd recommend it to anyone studying embryology at university.

Langman's Medical Embryology is essential for my medical course and the book is laid out nicely with pics and diagrams that explain embryology very well. This is an old edition but it is still quite similar to the newest versions and much cheaper. It also has examples of syndromes and issues that arise if each specific region of the embryological development of the baby doesn't pan out properly. The cheap older version comes in handy when you want to study at home and don't have the energy to go into the library to get the new one.
