I bought this book along with several others in the same vein to give me some ideas and inspiration. Ray Campbell Smith writes as well as he paints. He gives the reader different samples of landscapes and landscape components and offers techniques hints and tips to achieve fresh and livley results. Ideal for beginners and those looking to develop.The book should be used to inspire and practice ways of painting rather than tempting the beginner to copying another artist's style.

My wife has recently taken up watercolour painting and this book was recommended to her. She has found the step by step approach excellent.

This 50 pages soft cover book is again from Series STEP-BY-STEP Leisure Arts books. This one is #8 (I also bought #one).I fell in love with every painting the artist completed himself and all his demonstrations. Each demo is fully explained in words as well as his detailed mini paintings. Many hard cover thick books don't contain so much informations as this little one. And the price is so affordable.
I am very happy, that I found and bought it. Now, just to study and paint.

I bought this book to assist me in painting landscapes with watercolor and I believe it has helped me enormously. It has great information about materials, watercolor application through step by step lessons, and helpful tips to enhance your paintings. I am having a wonderful time learning and it shows in my application of watercolors and process.
