This is a stunning hymn to the beauty of the Ribble valley, which extends from the Yorkshire Dales to the sea at Lytham. This is not an area I know well, however it is clear from these magnificent photographs that this landscape is truly outstanding. Crossing the seasons the photographer has illuminated and elevated the apparently mundane to something extraordinarily beautiful. In other instances, the spectacular and dramatic work of nature is simply allowed to speak for itself. I would highly recommend this book whether you are familiar with the area (in which case you are likely to look at it with fresh eyes) or not and most definitely to those seeking new walking territory - the images here are likely to guarantee a visit.
