About the Author
Nicola Garmory went into partnership with Rachel Tennant in 1994. She qualified as an Associate of the Landscape Institute in 1996 and has taught a series of professional practice seminars since 1987.

This is a great little book. Little because it's smaller than A5 and great because there's so much useful information in it.
I'm a garden designer and this book is a great reference. It has information ranging from the basics such as construction details for paving to more unusual information e.g. how to set a sundial, mark out a sports area and wildflower mixes.

Excellent initial reference to set you on the right track but doesn't go into sufficient depth to stand alone - you will need to have an awareness of other references, where to go for up to date information and preferably work in a professional environment to gain perspective from your peers.

This book is packed full of all the facts and figures you find yourself needing as a landscape architect, from the properties of different types of stone to the details of the CDM regulations. It is easy to use with the topics grouped under several key headings. It is an ideal quick reference book - indispensable.
