4.0 out of 5 stars Landfall 13 Feb 2012
By C. Lane
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
As a Nevil Shute fan I found this production reasonably faithful to the book and good entertainment. It's great pity that more of Nevil Shute's book were not filmed. Dated but, for those who remember something of those times, good value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Film of the book 12 May 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Not nearly as good as the book - because of the time the film was made it had been censored of some of its "jokes" which were thought vulgar at the time but now seem quite mild !

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoy!! 18 Feb 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
The movie, while an oldie, is entertaining and gives a good overview of the book by Nevil Shutte upon which it is based.

Anyone who has an interest in movies of this era will not be disappointed.

Enjoy!!
