I bought this as I was looking at buying a Discovery. Given it's title I expected the majority of the book to be focused on advice and tips for what to look for, recalls, usual faults and weaknesses. Instead 90%+ of the book is a regurgitation of product and model specifications and only the last 5 pages (literally) turn to faults. However, there is little information on how or where to look for issues. At almost $20 this was a real disappointment and a waste of money.

If you are new to Land Rovers then this is an interesting book with lots of information, if you know LRs then you most likely have all this information in your head anyway.

Handy little book but focused on British spec Discoveries. That said, it does cover the US-spec rigs and provides some useful information.
