Product Description

Land Law: Directions provides a lively introduction to land law to make this traditionally daunting subject both clear and engaging. All the key topics covered on an undergraduate course are explained with the use of helpful learning features, coloured diagrams and photographs for a truly contemporary and student-centred approach. Combining an animated writing style with useful definitions, examples and thinking points, this book breaks down difficult concepts into manageable sections. Photographs offer an immediate visual illustration of otherwise abstract concepts, while a special chapter, 'Completing the Puzzle', links all the topics together and shows how they would apply to a fictional piece of land. Offering tailored advice on revision and exam technique and supported by an extensive Online Resource Centre, Land Law: Directions is the ideal textbook for the modern student of land law. Online Resource Centre: This book is accompanied by an innovative Online Resource Centre with a wealth of additional features for both students and lecturers: For lecturers: · A customizable test bank of 150 multiple-choice questions with answers and feedback · Diagrams and photographs from the book in PowerPoint format For students: · A flashcard glossary · Suggested approaches to the questions in the book · Updates in land law · Advanced topics for further study · Selected web links

I really didn't have a handle on Land Law during my CPE year. I grappled with the usual text books but it was all a mystery to me. Luckily, I came across this book and it was a lifesaver. It's in "English" and got loads of practical examples with all the key concepts explained clearly and concisely.

If you are thinking of revising, go for this book first, then Concentrate and Law Express in that order and you should be OK. Forget about Nutshell and Q&A - they are too difficult to fathom!

Great book 24 Oct 2009
Format:Paperback
As a 2nd year LLB Law student I find the beginning of the course pretty hard and demanding. Luckily, the books is an excellent help available to the students. It explains everything in detail and makes everything logical and easy through examples. Well done!!!

I am currently a 2nd Year LLB student and land law is not my strongest subject. The task of finding a good book to supplement your main text can be very tedious especially so when there are so many options in the market.

Having seen Land Law Directions and comparing it with others such as Q&A and Law Express, I decided that this was the one.

The book provides sufficient coverage of all sections of Land Law, getting right into the thick of things and explaining each point clearly. It provides excerpts of highlighted cases and even suggestions for further reading if you would like further insight into certain sections. The book is clearly marked and the diagrams and charts provided in the book to illustrate points are very helpful to clear any confusion.

If there are any books that would provide the foundation of the law and clearly show the sections with illustration, explanations and even highlighted legal authority, this is the book to get.

P.S: The colours do help too!
