I recommend this book to anyone obsessed/fascinated with rallying who wants to absorb as much information as possible about one the sport's greatest cars. The Lancia Stratos was the first purpose-built rally car, a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, fiberglass-bodied, Ferrari V6-powered monster that drew huge crowds wherever it raced.
The author of this book, Graham Robson, is one of the foremost authorities on the World Rally Championship, and he provides plenty of information about the Stratos' genesis, development, specifications, and competition history. Loaded with photos and statistics, this book is a must for all Stratos fans.
I also highly recommend the other books in Veloce's Rally Giants series, including Austin-Healey 100-6 and 3000; Ford Escort Mk I, and Subaru Impreza, all written by Robson, all of the same quality and format.
