Product Description

Awarded 5 Stars on Short Fiction Spotlight:

'... I describe a review of 5 stars as being “something I’ll think about for days to come.” A week after reading this, I am still remembering and laughing at sections of the story and picturing the events in my head.'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is an ADULT story and is NOT for children.
Jake Tempest, an unknown and slightly unhinged indie author with an unhealthy passion for military weapons and a tenuous grip on reality falls for up-and-coming Welsh writer Morwenna Midnight when they meet via an online writers' forum.
Fantasy turns to obsession when he sees the garden gnome on the cover of her soon-to-be-published novel as his only rival for her affections. Throw in a cruise missile, a handful of clay sheep, long-distance-lust, and things can only go one way - completely tits-up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Short Story Full Of Humour 16 Aug 2013
By ACB (swansea) TOP 50 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ryan Thomas continues to produce short stories of unlikely scenarios that result in confrontations accompanied by short hilarious subjects and dialogue interchanges. Here, Jake is a frustrated out-of shape middle aged author who finds Treorchy-based promising young writer Morweena Midnight via the internet. After some exchanges via the net and phone they eventually meet, both disillusioned with their realism after previous deceptive portrayals that lead to Thomas's eccentric gush direct comic delivery. This is a fun read from start to finish full of humour (and despair) and totally engaging. Excellent value and enjoyable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 6 Sep 2013
Lancashire Hotpot Loves Welsh Rarebit Drabble.
If you've come in search of the demented ravings of a mad blogger, then you need look no further. Your search is over ...
Perhaps, I should clarify that statement.
The main character in the book is indeed that madman, and the author has captured his ravings with true insight.
Our poor heroine is clearly in trouble, when this cyber-stalker becomes besotted with her Welsh charms and her rubber devices but for me, the best character in the book is the sinister Gnome, and I can only assume that he will get his comeuppance, in the sequel.
A great read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh out loud funny 22 July 2012
By Sheli
Format:Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this short story and it made me laugh on a few occasions throughout.
The story follows the main character Jake as he meets another writer Morwenna in an online forum and takes quite a liking to her. The story follows Jake as his interest in Morwenna grows and we also see a couple of very quick twists.
I liked the way that this story was written as it really helped to covey the mood of the book, as although it seems very relaxed at the beginning, the style aids the writer to make the tone increasingly manic.
I would like to read more by the author and would recommend this to anyone who would like a quick read that makes you laugh out loud.
