Product Description
In the summer of 2008, artist Richard Ashrowan was invited to consider the geopoetics of the Borderline by the Romanian Curator Ileana Pintilie. This began his exploration of the Anglo Scots borderline, one of the oldest borders in the world. Taking his Scottish Borders home as his starting point, he travelled to several points on the border, beginning a process of meditation into the meanings that might be revealed at its heart and within its landscape. His work took on the nature of a visual, philosophical and historical enquiry, while remaining deeply rooted in a sense of personal encounter.
