I have been taking this high strength formulation (it's changed its name a couple of times) for 4 years. It really did make noticable changes in my monthly cycles. The most noticeable was water retention ie: sore full heavy breasts and bloatedness, I believe it is the magnesium that helps this, it has 400mg per 2 tablets. I used to take chromium and magnesium in a separate supplement but the great thing about this product is that it has it all, and the same amount, in just the 2 tablets a day recommended dose. I have also noticed it helps my mood swings, I still get a bit emotional and irritable but nowhere near the highs and very lows I used to have. Has also reduced palpitations for me. I believe this high strength multi vitamin assists in stabilizing my mind and body, it really helped, it didn't totally change my life but things would definitely be more unstable without it and I would not enjoy that ... nor my family!
This high strength vitamin supplement is 99% the same (as far as I have checked on the ingredients and percentages of vits & minerals on the labels)as OPTIVITE (became unavaiable in the EU due to an outlawed binding ingredient) and also PREMTIS (also became unavailable for the same kind of reason). The reason I mention this is because I was in total confusion when both of these products went out of circulation and went without for a while which resulted in PMS symtoms coming back! I recommend giving it a go if you suffer from PMS - I saw the most noticable changes after 2 months - it sounds long maybe, but it builds up into your system slowly - that's just how it is - but it works for me absolutely and the 2 months is worth it.
I may just mention it has not helped with menstural migraines - but - even though I really doubted it would - evening primrose reduced the severity of these for me - not remove - but made things more bearable - again took 2-3 months but the migraines wiped me out 5 days a month of total hibernation, so worth the wait for me!
