I was recently diagnosed as a coeliac (allergic to / intolerant of gluten) so no more bread and cakes for me. Then to kick me when I was down, it turned out that the coeliac disease had caused so much damage to my small intestine I was lactose intolerant too.
Now I don't mind living without bread or even cakes, but no cheese?!? Unthinkable!. Tried lactofree milk and there were no reactions, so I decided to find out if I could get lactase enzymes so I could eat my precious cheese. I discovered these miraculous pills and they work great!
If there's only a small amount of lactose one pill works fine, but if you have a cheese slice, cheese sauce or any amount of cream you must have 2 pills. The key thing to remember is that 'soft' dairy products have a higher lactose content than 'harder' dairy products.
Enjoy peeps!
