Product Description

Product Description

Idealistic young priest Michael Lamb (Liam Neeson) is struggling with his faith following the death of his father. When 10-year-old epileptic Owen (Hugh O'Conor) is dumped at the remand home where Michael teaches, he begins to regress under the brutal regime of head priest Brother Benedict (Ian Bannen). Feeling a kinship for young Owen, Michael snatches him from the school and the pair go on the run to London, posing as father and son. But time begins to run out very quickly and Lamb has to make a very difficult decision...

5.0 out of 5 stars very moving 26 Aug 2012
By Tomg
I first saw this film in the very late 80s its a film that is quite literally very moving and also funny both the main characters are very believable Liam Neeson gives one of his best performances. I don't do reviews but this one film ill make an exception it is a brilliant movie. The only downside is the price it is a little over the top.

I went to see it twice at the cinema (back in 1987) and I cannot describe how moved I was by this movie (first time I saw Liam Neeson: in my view his best performance so far). The headline on the Cinema poster says it all: What happens to them may anger you.. it may shock you.. but it cannot fail to move you.

4.0 out of 5 stars LAMB 14 April 2010
Format:VHS Tape
Great script and acting. Haunting piece of work that keeps you almost in the dark, wondering where the story will lead / end. Some very important themes, questions on the meaning of life. Good acting from all , particulalry Neeson and the young boy. Makes you think and it isn't easy to get the answer. Leaves your mind open. Mix of drama and comic moments.
