I bought this for my baby boy when he was about 12 weeks as he was suddenly more interested in toys and the world around him, plus it was small enough to pop into a changing bag when we went out. He immediately loved the high contrast colours and wanted to play with it, but unfortunately the handle is just a little too wide for him to get hold of. Because of this he can't work the 'squeaker' himself. I am finding as he gets older (he is 17 weeks now) he is better able to grip the toy so perhaps this is just more suitable for a slightly older baby - I would say by six months this will be ideal.
