My daughter has started a lalaloopsy toy collection and is due to get more for her birthday. It is hard to keep track of all of the characters names so this is a great little book to tell you all about each character, how they were made and what their interests are. Really cute little pictures, I'm sure my daughter will love having this book as part of her 5th birthday present.

Love Lalaloopsy- but this book has no story line

We purchased this book as well as the next one in the series (Lalaloopsy: Party Time!). This book is exactly as it is described: an "introduction to the Lalaloopsy girls." Each page details one of the first 8 eight dolls (Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Jewel Sparkles, Peanut Big Top, Bea Spells-a-Lot, Mittens Fluff 'n' Stuff, Dot Starlight, Pillow Featherbed, and Spot Splatter Splash), gives her birthdate, what she was sewed from, and what she likes and dislikes. There is absolutely no storyline. Pretty much everything in this book is taken from the description on each of their boxes.

Summarizes orig 8 Dolls stats in book form

This isn't a storybook. It simply summarizes the original 8 dolls 'stats' in book form...and it's great. My 4 y/o loves reading it together and she enjoys memorizing the facts of each doll.
If you're looking for a storybook style Lalaloopsy book, there is currently another book called Party Time that is a traditional story which also features the 8 original dolls. More books are set to be released Jan 2012

Cute book, fair price. My 4 year old loves it. There isn't a story line to this book - it's just about the Lalaloopsy girls - there's a picture map of their houses in the beginning and pictures of the dolls with their names, then a couple pages each dedicated to the dolls, what they're made from, their birthdate, and so on. This book only features the original dolls - Bea Spells-A-Lot, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, etc. Now there are a lot more dolls. Still, my daughter likes this book and I'm glad I purchased it for her.
