Product Description
Terriers have existed in the British Isles for hundres of years, being used as earth dogs in the hunting of predators of livestock. There have always been variations in type of terrier with distinct dogs appearing in different regions. Over the years these have developed into individual breeds - suck as the Dandie Dinmont in the Scottish Borders, the West Highland White in the Western Highlands and the Lakeland in the Lake District of England.
About the Author
Sean Frain is the author of a number of books including "The Patterdale Terrier" and "The traditional Working Terrier" and is a regular contributor to "The Countryman's Weekly".
