This book is really great, straight forward and elaborate even though it only is 95 pages. There's a nice describtion of 100+ fish - including natural habitat, size, requirements, diet, breeding and colour fotos. Also this book covers how to set up the aquarium and run it as well as spawning tips and a brief history of the lake Malawi.
On the down side there are some typos especially in the translation to the metric system, the chapter on setting up the aquarium should have been longer - there is a 14 line text covering live plants in Malawi aquaria. I know that most people don't want plants in their Malawi aquaria but there's plants on a lot of photos showing Malawi fish (and I want plants!).
All things considered this book is great value - if you want Malawis or if you just consider the option; BUY THIS BOOK!

This book goes into great detail about Lake Malawi and cichlids habitat, lifestyle and what part of the lake they come from, as well as the best kind of conditions to keep them in the aquarium, how to encourage breeding, what to do if they get sick and loads more, a brilliant book for those with limited knowledge about cichlids and wanting to learn how to keep them successfully, my partner and I have followed the guidelines in this and within a couple of months our cichlids are breeding, so it must be pointing us in the right direction, definitely recommend this book.
