I wanted to find a jacket which was not from the mainstream - seems like everyone is wearing North Face or Berghaus - but which was also high quality, preferably Goretex or equivalent, and could be worn both day to day as well as for more serious winter sports. This jacket fits the bill perfectly: it is well made, stylish and has an excellent fleece lining which is both lightweight and warm. The only niggle I would have is that the zips on the jacket are not terribly robust and a bit fiddly - not easy to open and close with ski gloves - hence my docking a star, else it would have been worth the full 5 out of 5.
