Stumbled across this title, thought I'd give it a go. It tells the tale of Katherina Ferguson, who is touring England, and visits an old castle on a ghost tour with her aunt. There is a strange cosmic arrangement which transports her back in time to the 17th Century, when Charles and Cromwell are at odds in England. She meets the Lord of the Castle, Kane, who is, naturally drop-dead gorgeous (cover pic tells you this bigtime). They end up together, but meanwhile his cousin has transported to the 20th Century, but we don't hear too much about him, don't worry....

Katherina is a herbalist, who manages to cure the ills of the local peasants. There is a sub-text involving the hideously deformed brother of Kane, who falls in love with a local maiden who is blind (whew, that's handy). Accusations of witchcraft fly through the air, there is some steamy outdoor action, and you are left wondering if the time travel will be reversed or not.....

Despite the very cheesy cover, I actually found this book very entertaining, certainly amused me for a couple of nights. Go Cordelia!

an enjoyable light read! 14 Jan 1999

I enjoyed this book and the main characters. The changes and learning process the hero goes through really makes you cheer for him. The leading lady is a strong well defined character, who handles landing in another time and place believeably...(i.e., confusion, disbelief, anger, despair)... Why they say she is manacled to a wall in his bedroom is confusing, for that isnt the case, she gets thrown in the dungeon. All in all, this is a very good book, but its lacking something. Maybe too much paranoia about her being deemed a witch, I'm not sure, but its worth reading.

I liked it a little 11 Mar 2005

This book could have been better. I would of liked the story of John and Sidney as a whole book. I was much more interested in their story than Kane's and Katharina's. But this book was pretty interesting so I can't give it any less than three stars. If you like time travel romances, pick this one up.
