Considering one of the other reviews here, I didn't expect too much from this DVD. But I was most pleasantly surprised when I watched it, because the producers have really done their jobs and dug deep. It includes lovely footage of the days when LGG was sweet little Stephani Germanotta at stage school, sitting in front of a piano and singing a haunting ballad [that it transpires she also wrote] which is as beautiful as anything Joni Mitchell or Carole King ever composed. Also there's film of her early bands like SG Band and Lady Starlight. Lots of interviews with her too and the whole thing is a pure delight. Don't believe the hype.

A fascinating film about Lady Gaga's life and career. Features loads of clips of her music and videos, including some really early stuff that I'd never seen anywhere else. It doesn't just feature all her videos that every one has seen hundreds of times, but also offers a great insight into what it is that makes Lady Gaga the defining pop star of a generation. A great watch for all fans of the lady and pop music in general!
